I don't care anything about this article, but I do want to address some of the comments: http://lifehacker.com/5861760/how-to-deal-with-family-members-that-stress-you-out-or-drive-you-crazyYehoshua, who is apparently an underaged person, is complaining that hir mother causes hir stress. Several people have offered solutions, but I have a different take on it. The problem at first appears to some to be hir sense of entitlement, and Derp Nerpem backs that up by saying, "You owe your parents nothing. ... it is their duty to give you food and give you a place to live until you are old enough to be able to take care of yourself." But the problem which these two young people have not identified, though they have come close, is that the laws prohibit people who are perfectly capable of supporting themselves (at least in theory) from actually moving out and doing so! (They also whine that they are still in school, but I say that school is a privilege rather than a right, and if the situation is so bad that they hate their parents they should forego school and quit leaching off their parents.) I don't even want to start with all the comments saying that these kids needed more "discipline" and that their problem is that their parents probably wanted to be their friends. :( | | Wednesday, October 12th, 2011 | | 2:25 pm |
I'm moving forward with studying and practicing for my first ballroom dance certification! I also have plans to start making short instructional videos for my youtube channel. | | Sunday, October 9th, 2011 | | 3:11 pm |
I'm going back to teaching ballroom and social dancing! Even though I taught for five years in my twenties, and owned my own dance studio at one point, I never got certified. It just wasn't something anyone was really doing back then. Now I am investigating dance teacher certifications to determine which would be best. I expect to be certified in at least Bronze level within a year! | | Monday, February 7th, 2011 | | 12:05 pm |

Theatre vs. Ballet
When my children do community theatre, it costs us a lot of time and travel, and some makeup. Afterwards, we often get a DVD of the performance for the price of a blank DVD. When my children do dance, it costs us time, travel, makeup, lessons, costumes, performance fees, and tickets to see the show! On top of that, if we want a DVD or photos those cost extra -- sometimes a lot extra. | | Tuesday, September 21st, 2010 | | 8:39 am |

Do you have a relationship dealbreaker? I hope you have many, actually. But what can you think of, right now, that would cause you to end your current relationship, if you're in one? For me, there are lots of things that would be dealbreakers as I'm getting to know someone. But once I know that person and I love them, they'd have to do something that goes totally against their nature (or at least, my perception of their nature) in order for me to end the relationship. | | Thursday, July 8th, 2010 | | 12:18 pm |
Abortion and heaven
Shamelessly stolen from a comment by dave_littler: Science tells us that as many of half of all pregnancies end in miscarriage - usually so early in the pregnancy that the woman in question didn't even know she was pregnant.
That means that those 50% of all souls go to heaven. The other 50% are divvied up between heaven and hell, with the majority going to hell, right?
That means the majority of the souls in heaven are shapeless blobs, with no memories of life, no personality, no sense of identity. Indeed, if they appear as they did in life, they would mostly be too small even to see. They would be these little blobs of anonymous, brainless bliss.
And that's what the majority of heaven is like. And I don't even think he's counting the millions of purposely aborted fetuses! | | 9:44 am |

DSC_0205 DSC_0205 Originally uploaded by Anne KecklerMy mom is visiting to help take care of things here while Ray and I go to Tampa to be with his mom, Sandy, when she has surgery. Mom and I went to Dorothy Oven Park this afternoon to walk around, and I got her to pose for this portrait. Next time I'd use a reflector to get a little more light on her face, but I still like it the way it is. | | 8:25 am |
DSC_0156 DSC_0156 Originally uploaded by Anne KecklerI took the boys to the lake yesterday, but Robert prefers a pool or the beach. He was soon bored and wanted to go home. | | Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010 | | 9:26 pm |
